Vanessa & Matthew’s Story:  Our farm started off as a casual conversation among family that quickly became a realized dream.  Drawing on our experience as humble backyard (and living room) gardeners, we are excited to create a business that benefits the land and the community.  Good food is a shared passion of ours; equally important is a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices for the benefit of the environment.  Farming organically represents the intersection of these two interests and we can’t wait for our first harvest!

Our plan:  We are interested in direct sales of our products and look forward to building relationships with our customers.  We plan on selling our produce at three local farmers’ markets as well as setting up a farm stand during our first season.  Future aspirations include starting a CSA and developing business-to-business sales.  We also plan on donating a portion of our profits (or produce) to community-minded organizations.  Soaking up the Sierra foothill sunshine for 300+ days a year is also on our “to-do” list.
